The Department of Population Health will host its 9th Annual Health And conference, each year focusing on the interface between health & determinants beyond the walls of healthcare. The conference will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 9:00-2:30 ET.
This year's theme is Health And Social Media: Preventing Harm & Promoting Health. To kick off the day, we have James Steyer, JD, CEO of Common Sense Media & critically acclaimed author, as our keynote speaker.
The conference will be held in Murphy Auditorium on the NYU Langone Health campus, 550 First Avenue, NYC. We will also livestream the event.

Our annual Health And conference is designed to advance health equity in bridging the fields of medicine & public health. This year, leading researchers & practitioners will explore the complex relationship between digital platforms & well-being. This interdisciplinary conference will examine the health risks posed by social media & discuss strategies for mitigation. Experts will also highlight how social media can be leveraged to improve health individually & at the population level through interventions that address social connectedness, the dissemination of health information, & community engagement.
