Welcome back to the first 2026 edition of The Sprawl! As usual, we've got some great security talks for you.
For those of you who are new, The Sprawl is a meetup that convenes every two months to bring interesting technical content to a wider audience to build a new community of security experts here in the NYC area. So whether you're a full time security practitioner, a software engineer with an interest in security, or still a student, you should attend! Free food & drinks will be available.
Agenda:
Talk 1: Dill With It: Pickle Exploitation Techniques And Their Detection Using SaferPickle by Andrew Johnston & George Litvinov
Talk 2: Negative Space: a JTW continuation project by Alice Bibaud
Talk abstracts can be found at sprawl.nyc.
There will be time for questions at the end of each talk, as well as afterwards for snacking & socializing. Because space is limited, location information will only be made available after your RSVP is confirmed.
Note: We will need to collect real names due to venue security requirements.
As a reminder, if you want to speak at a future Sprawl, please reach out at cfp@sprawl.nyc! And if you want to host us some time or have comments (or complaints!), please reach out at event@sprawl.nyc! Or come find a host in person.
