Pre-Seed Financing Essentials

Pre-seed financings help startups get their operations off the ground & serve as a bridge to subsequent equity financing rounds. This presentation will discuss the essentials of SAFEs, convertible notes & other pre-seed financings & what you need to know in order to set your company up for success.
Jonathan Sagot
Jonathan represents clients in complex corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, investments & financings. He advises tech-enabled emerging companies throughout their growth lifecycle, from their formation to series financings to exit. In his varied background, Jonathan has represented companies & acted as general outside counsel for clients in the software, digital health, life sciences, proptech, blockchain, advertising, communications, media, e-commerce, food & beverage, & fashion & beauty industries.
Andrew Murphy
Andrew supports clients in the technology & life sciences industries on a broad variety of corporate matters, including startup company formations, venture capital financings, mergers & acquisitions, & corporate governance matters. He seeks to provide pragmatic & thoughtful advice to help clients navigate complex transactions & solve business & legal issues efficiently & effectively. Andrew's clients include formation-stage companies through late-stage privately held companies, as well as venture capital investors & corporate strategic investors.
