Join us as Karina Mangu-Ward from August, Chris Grygo from the Ford Foundation, & Dana Asher from RELATED ExPERIENCEguide us in exploring the intersection of leadership & culture.
As culture scholar Edgar Schein says, Culture & leadership are two sides of the same coin. Leaders' behaviors & values inform the culture of any organization. In this event, we'll discuss several topics about how to become a better leader & create good workplace culture.
Participants will break into small discussion groups led by our expert facilitators & discuss the following topics:How can leaders can discern healthy boundaries at work?What does it mean to show up in a culture as a leader?What is the right balance of being authentic & vulnerable vs. being strong & confident as a leader?

6:15-7:00: Discussion groups with rotating facilitators
7:00-7:30: Open discussion

Expert Facilitators:
Karina Mangu-Ward,Organizational Design atAugust
Karina has a decade of experience partnering with leading nonprofits, foundations, city agencies, & community stakeholders. At August, Karina is an organizational design consultant who helps nurture more creative, self-managing & productive teams. Her clients include New York City's Department of Education, Sundance Institute, Planned Parenthood, PepsiCo & Chanel. Prior to joining August, she worked for 10 years at the intersection of culture & social innovation, tackling complex organizational & social challenges through the arts. Her passion is helping groups navigate ambiguity, & gain insight.

Chris Grygo, Talent Development Director atFord Foundation
Chris is the Director of Talent Development at the Ford Foundation. Chris leads global talent development initiatives that enable Ford's strategy, enhance its culture, promote values-based team excellence, & aid colleagues in reaching their full potential.He has served in leadership & organization development roles across sectors ranging from tech to higher education, healthcare & philanthropy.Chris earned his master's in organizational psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. He holds certificates in mediation & conflict resolution & is a Gestalt trained coach. Chris is a facilitator in preparation & a Board member at the Center for Courage & Renewal.

Dana Asher, Founder ofRELATED ExPERIENCE
Dana is an organizational consultant, group facilitator, certified executive coach, & keynote speaker focused on improving quality of life at work. At RELATED ExPERIENCE, the culture strategy & leadership development consultancy that she founded, Dana works to bring people back into relationship with themselves & one another, & to build personal & institutional capacity for transformative leadership & disruptive impact. Trained at The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training & Research, Dana also completed two years of Tavistock-method participant observation with infants & their families. Prior to over a decade developing business leaders from the Fortune 100 at McKinsey & Company, The Energy Project, & Mobius Executive Leadership, Dana was awarded a PhD with distinction from Northwestern University, where she trained in the Humanities - the study of the human condition.
