Of the myriad new technologies to arrive on the scene in recent years, none has demonstrated the potential for a more profound & far-reaching impact than that of the Blockchain.
With concrete implementations already underway in the Banking, Real Estate, Government, Health Care, & Finance sectors, the Blockchain is also starting to change the transactional & operational landscape of the Fine Arts world. As such, whether you're an Art Dealer, Gallery owner, (Art) Collector or (Art) Investor, understanding Blockchain technology is not only crucial to your staying relevant but can give you an edge in your field.
In this non-technical yet still in-depth talk, we will break down the Blockchain's core principles, mechanics & applications in a way that is simple to understand, giving you the necessary foundation to assess & evaluate how you might incorporate it into your specific work environment.


SPEAKER PROFILE:
Sherone Rabinovitz, MFA
Technologist, Serial Entrepreneur, Educator, & Artist, Sherone has made a career blending multiple skills & disciplines in a unique & cogent way. In the mid 90's he was amongst the pioneer wave of 1st generation developers building the World Wide Web. He next transitioned into Interactive Multimedia Development, authoring & building Interactive CD-ROMs, stand-alone Kiosks, & promotional DVD's. Concurrently, he began a teaching career, providing training in Computer Programming, Software Development & Interactive Multimedia Development. In the early 2000's he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film & Media Arts, writing & directing several shorts which received both festival & television play. Continuing his career as an Educator, he transitioned to Academia & taught undergraduate Film & Media classes at Drexel University, Temple University, & the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
In the late 2000's he entered the Mobile space, creating & developing iPhone apps for both the Joffrey Ballet & The Washington Ballet as well as consulting on numerous inter-Enterprise iOS projects. At the same time, he founded iOS Learning Labs, a boutique iOS Training & Consultancy agency, delivering onsite trainings & workshops worldwide to clients such as eBay, Cisco, & Intel among many others.
Since 2015 Sherone has been active in the Cryptocurrency & Blockchain space, trading in cryptocurrencies & consulting businesses on how to incorporate Blockchain technology into their workflow & day-to-day operations.
