Nolan is currently the Director of Research at CoinDesk, the world leader in blockchain news & research. He was trained as a lawyer & worked for a year at a firm in Japan. He later worked for several Parliamentary committees in Ottawa, Canada where he worked on long term studies of the 2008 meltdown & anti-money laundering. This was fertile ground for a year & half long study of Bitcoin, starting in 2013 that was hashed into bitcoin's blockchain as it was tabled in Parliament. Upon publication of the report, Nolan quit his job & started to work full-time in the blockchain industry.
