DESCRIPTION
Cities not just in the United States but worldwide are becoming hubs of innovation in their own right, sometimes with the help of (and sometimes despite) state & or federal governments. More & more layers of information are being made available to citizens, but the tools for understanding & engaging with that information is still in its infancy, & citizens are not always enthusiastic to learn more about sometimes boring & bureaucratic processes. Some questions we'll dig into include:
Can immersive computing & the techniques coming from the gaming & mixed realities industries help citizens understand & engage with their cities in more meaningful ways?
How can mixed realities help us build the cities we want & create a more equitable & flourishing society?
