Speakers:

Speaker: Arun Nagarajan - Senior Manager, Uber Eats Restaurant Engineering (~20 minutes)
Topic: Ubers Deployment of React Native at Scale

Summary: The Uber Eats engineering team uses React Native to develop apps for their various customers. In this talk, we walk through our code push/binary push process, & explain how we can deploy React Native at scale to over 100,000 restaurants in 6 minutes.

Speaker: Leah Steinberg - Software Engineer, Uber Eats Restaurant Engineering (~20 minutes)
Topic: Building a React App across iOS, Android, & WEB

Summary: How we share 94% of our code across these three platforms. React Native is commonly known for its speed & scalability when building apps on mobile platforms. During this presentation, we discuss how we use React Native code to build a web app for the browser by sharing our journey of building our Uber Eats Restaurant app first for the Web, then for mobile, and, finally, for the Web again. Now, our React Native mobile code makes up 94% of our Restaurant Dashboard web app. Well talk about how we were able to support three platforms almost entirely with this robust React Native repo.

Nick Koutrelakos: Senior React Native Engineer, Utility (http://www.utilitynyc.com) (~20 minutes)
Topic: Community Service as a React Native Developer: Due Diligence

Summary: React Native is in its infancy; therefore, its reputation is a living, malleable construct. We, as JavaScript developers, experience the externalities of open-source contribution on a regular basis. As such, providing high-quality contributions is pivotal for the continued growth & adoption of such a robust framework for hybrid native application development. This presentation will shed light on the current state of React Native documentation -- good & bad -- & speak to the widespread improvements we, as a community, may want to consider when crafting our next comment, pull request, or package.
