Join us November 13-15 at NYU Tandon for the 2026 NASA Space Apps Challenge - a global hackathon bringing together coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, & curious problem-solvers to take on challenges using NASA's free & open data.
Space Apps is about more than building something quickly. Teams have to understand a challenge, make sense of complex information, decide what matters, & turn that thinking into something useful. The best solutions often come from people with different backgrounds looking at the same problem in different ways.
This year's NYC event brings together students & professionals from NYU Tandon, the NYU School of Professional Studies, & the broader New York technology community. Participants will have opportunities to meet mentors, learn new tools, work alongside people outside their usual disciplines, & present their solutions to local judges.
You do not need to be a programmer, scientist, or space expert to participate. If you are interested in solving problems, learning from others, & building something new, there is a place for you here.
NASA Space Apps NYC is locally organized by SWARM NYC in collaboration with NYU & members of the New York technology community.
