Rules:

Contestants may submit a new product designed specifically for the Hackathon or an existing product that includes functionality that is significantly different from previous versions and that was developed as part of the Hackathon.All Apps must:

1. Be solely owned by Contestant such that no other party has any rights or interest, whether known or unknown; and not violate the intellectual property, common law, or privacy rights of other parties.

2. Be original.

3.Comply with the terms of use of data sets listed by Sponsors.

4.Not be indecent, defamatory, in obvious bad taste, demonstrate a lack of respect for public morals or conduct, or adversely affect the reputation of the Sponsors; be illegal under applicable laws; depict hatred, defame, threaten a specific community in the society or incite violence; contain vulgar language or violence; or contain pornography, obscenity, or sexual activity.

Contestants selected as Winners of the Hackathon must also be willing to sign a Winners Agreement that certifies that the Contestant has complied with all rules of this Hackathon.

Failure to comply with any of these requirements may result in disqualification from the Hackathon at the Sponsors sole discretion.

Participation constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's and Administrators decisions, which are final and binding on all matters related to the Hackathon. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Evaluation Criteria:

Judges will be looking mostly for a strong design and indication that the project can be completed and submission ready by October 18th, 2014 for a final competition and event. A demo would be great, but not required. Screenshots and process flows are encouraged.

1. Long-term viability, including size of potential user base and business prospects;
2. Innovative use of technology and data sets or APIs;
3. User experience and design;

To be deemed eligible for prizes, teams must submit their app by 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 to the submission form.

Ownership of Information

Contestants will own the intellectual property rights to their Submission, but must comply with any additional rules and requirements set forth by the sponsor of the API/prize.

By entering the Hackathon, Contestants agree to the Rules.
