India therefore faces a broader question than whether AI will create or eliminate jobs: How can the country use AI to expand opportunity while managing the risks to workers, inequality, privacy, & democratic institutions? This panel brings together perspectives from technology, academia, & education to explore how India can navigate that transition. Panelists include:
Ranjit Bawa - US Chief Technology & Ventures Officer, Deloitte

Vasant Dhar - Professor, NYU Stern & NYU Center for Data Science; host of Brave New World
covering AI, human decision-making, governance, & democracy
Ranjit Tinaikar - Host, Newsweek AI Impact Forum; former CEO, Ness Digital Engineering
covering AI, India's technology sector, & the changing economics of IT services
Bala Venkatachalam - Chief Operating Officer, Pratham
covering AI in education, Pratham's technology initiatives, & expanding access to opportunity
Moderator: Seema Mody - CNBC Technology & Global Markets Correspondent
Presented in association with Pratham USA
