Creative Tech Week is May 12-21 in NYC, & you can access the insiders of the creative technology community at our free VIP Preview event on Thursday, May 11 from 6-10pm. Don't forget to RSVP, as this event will sell out! Last year's celebration was extremely popular. Arrive by 6:30 to catch remarks by top city officials from NYC EDC & the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment, a custom rundown of the week's coming events from CTW Founder Isabel Walcott Draves, & a brief expository talk & demo performance by world-renowned event producer, composer, electronic violinist & data visualist Kenji Williams. Williams' award-winning Bella Gaia & Origin Stories productions bring the realities of climate change & the beauty of international cultures to life through electronic music, dance, costumes, visualizations of climate & population data, pictures of the earth from space from NASA, & a virtual reality experience.
After the performance, at around 7:30, we'll clear the chairs so you can enjoy the rest of the evening networking with other top media & tech industry professionals, executives & Creative Tech Week presenters, experts & partners past & present. Use this event as an opportunity to catch up with industry insiders old & new from the Dot Com Boom ('90's tech industry), Web 2.0 (Silicon Alley in the '00's), Social Media Era (NYC tech in the teens), & next decade's Mixed Reality/Internet of Things (we're already envisioning the 2020's).
A dress code is enforced at the NAC. Jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, ripped clothing & shorts are frowned upon; so please dress accordingly or blow us away with your imaginative creative technologist/fashiontech attire.
