Meet our Panelists:
James B. Mann is a partner with the Tax practice group Greenspoon Marder LLP. Mr. Mann has over 25 years ofexperience serving as a trusted advisor to a broad range of stakeholders in the energy & financial services industries.He counsels clients on the new changes in the tax law, as well as cannabis tax issues. Mr. Mann advises financialinstitutions regarding international tax, structuring renewable energy asset-based bank loans & securitizations, cross-border tax-advantaged partnerships & securitizations, project finance, & renewable energy deals. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School & an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Mark Faweris a partner in the Real Estate practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP. Mr. Fawer focuses his practice onmatters including the representation of institutional, fund & private capital sources in every aspect of subordinate realestate financing, including mezzanine lending, B-notes & preferred equity investments covering every major asset type,such as for rental & for sale residential, hospitality, retail, office, student housing, mixed use & industrial properties. Inhis practice, Mr. Fawer has successfully negotiated intercreditor & co-lender agreements with many of the most activesenior lenders in the industry & has helped structure cutting edge financings in some of the most challenging contexts.
In addition to his extensive subordinate financing practice, Mr. Fawer also counsels clients from term sheet to closing inmost aspects of a wide range of other real estate transactions, including complex partnership, joint venture, & limitedliability company operating agreements as well as the acquisition, development & disposition of properties locally andnationwide. He holds a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
