Gary Goldman, MD, Managing Director, Global Health Impact Fund

Gary Goldman is the founder & managing director of the Global Health Impact Fund & Network. With over 30 years of Clinical & Administrative healthcare experience & 20 years as a serial entrepreneur, Gary has been a founder for two healthcare technology start-ups, a physician informatics lead overseeing the roll out of the EHR Epic across Sutter Health, a not-for-profit health system in Northern California with 24 hospitals providing service to 100 Northern California cities, & has traveled across the country as a healthcare technology consultant for multiple academic & Private HCO's. During that time Gary maintained his clinical practice in Anesthesiology with a sub specialty focus in obstetric anesthesiology. He is a founding member of the East Bay Anesthesia Medical Group & founded, scaled & held the position of medical director for its high risk Obstetric Anesthesia division, for over 20 years, caring for up to 8000 patients per year.Gary holds a BS from Stony Brook University, a DDS from New York University, & an MD from Drexel University Medical School. He completed an Internal Medicine internship, an Anesthesiology residency & Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Brigham & Women's Hospital, & a Neurosurgical Anesthesia Fellowship at SUNY Downstate

Mary Grove, Managing Partner, Bread & Butter Ventures

Mary Grove is Managing Partner of Bread & Butter Ventures. She brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in technology, early stage investing, & startup ecosystem growth. She began her career working on the Google IPO, & went on to lead new business development partnerships, negotiating early stage product & technology deals worldwide. Mary then served as the founding director of Google for Startups, leading the company's global efforts to support entrepreneurs in over 100 countries.

After her 15 year career at Google, Mary worked as an investment partner at Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund where she led dozens of investments in a range of sectors including healthcare, enterprise software, & fintech. She also built the fund's portfolio support platform & built a network of over 150 mentors & partners to guide startup growth.

She is the Co-founder & Executive Director of Silicon North Stars, a nonprofit that she & her husband Steve founded in 2013 to help young Minnesotans from underserved communities pursue careers in tech. Mary serves on the boards of Vital Voices, the Minneapolis Foundation, & the Techstars Foundation. She earned her BA & MA from Stanford University.

Ephraim Lindenbaum, Managing Director, Advance Ventures

Ephraim Lindenbaum is a founder & Managing Director of Advance Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based venture investment fund investing in early-stage start-ups. Founded in 1999, Advance Ventures invests in: Sustainability (Sectors: AgTech, CannaTech, FoodTech) Communications (Sectors: IoT, Mobility & Security) & Information Technology (Sectors: DigitalHealth, FinTech).Mr. Lindenbaum currently serves as a board member, observer or board advisor to Acerro, Alpha Foods, Front Range Biosciences, MycoTechnology, PathogenDx & Willow Industries. He is a lecturer at Stanford Business School, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University & has been featured in Forbes, Inc Magazine, VentureBeat, Wired, CNN FutureWatch & Silicon Valley Business Journal.
