We will learn to use the basic data types in Python in addition to loops, conditionals, & functions. This course will expand your knowledge of the fundamental "container" data structures of lists, tuples, dicts, & sets & show you how they are used by modern programmers. There are real world applications to all of these types spread through the course, & we will go through several exercises & examples to make sure these concepts make sense.We will also spend time recognizing & handling errors in Python. Errors come up all the time in coding, & the ability to catch & reason about errors is an important skill for any new programmer!Finally, we will review & debug various code snippets in Python as part of our studies. The ability to find the source of your errors, walk through & fix code with syntax and/or logical errors is a vital skill for any coders. We will help you get comfortable with reviewing other people's Python code because this will help you become a better Python programmer.

How to Prepare:

Bring your laptop, fully charged (bring your charger just in case)


basic knowledge of python lists, dictionaries, & functions
