Hello Meetup Friends,

We appreciate your patience as we took some time to re-group. We're now back & excited to bring you our new & improved Meetup. So without further ado, we would finally like to announce that the Tech Press Meetup is now officially the New York Media Meetup!

For our inaugural event as the New York Media Meetup, we'll be exploring the incentives pushing media brands towards subscription models & how this trend might shape the future of media. Have we finally reached a stable equilibrium that will allow for a decently well-funded media ecosystem? Or will many of these efforts prove fruitless?

We'll be joined by two excellent panelists Max Willens (https://digiday.com/author/max-willens/), media reporter at Digiday, & Hamish Mckenzie (http://hamishmckenzie.com/) of Substack, & adding a third shortly.

The schedule will go (roughly) as follows:

6:30 - Arrive & talk to each other

7:00 - Panel discussion

8:00 - More talking to each other

8:30ish - Leave
