Join us for an exciting in-person event hosted by BNP Paribas in Midtown Manhattan. Learn about developments in our open source, climate-aligned analytical tools: Physical Risk & Resilience, Transition Analysis, & Sector Alignment for investment portfolios (Implied Temperature Rise). We will also share details about the Sustainable Africa Initiative, which leverages the Physical Risk & Resilience tool to address food security in Nigeria & elsewhere in Africa.

Linux Foundation OS-Climate
OS-Climate (OS-C) is a non-profit organization under the Linux Foundation, where global financial sector & tech companies are jointly building open data & open source analytics tools for the financial services sector, business, & regulators to manage climate related risk & boost capital flows into climate change mitigation & resilience. In this community of open collaboration, corporate members work with a range of partners in academic, government, & NGO partners. The public goods being developed for private sector use cases also can be leveraged for public benefit uses, such as the projects of the Sustainable Africa Coalition to analyze climate-related risk to agriculture in Nigeria & identify priority investments for resilience & adaptation, thereby supporting food security & social stability.

Its corporate members & partners jointly build solutions. OS-C members include Allianz, Amazon, Amundi, BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon, Capgemini, EY, Federated Hermes, Goldman Sachs, London Stock Exchange Group, the Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance, Ortec Finance, Red Hat, & S&P Global. Associate Members include Climate Policy Initiative, Ecole Polytechnique, ETH Zurich, GLEIF, Open Earth Foundation, & World Benchmarking Alliance.

Sustainable Africa Initiative (SAI)
SAI is focused on equipping Africa's agriculture sector with the data, tools, & knowledge essential for developing & executing science-based strategies to mitigate & adapt to the physical & transition risk from climate change. These mitigation & adaptation strategies aim to bolster crop resilience, elevate agricultural output, improve food security, & notably diminish the number of individuals (currently over 230 million) in Africa afflicted by persistent hunger, as well as those suffering from malnutrition, & starvation.

Led by the Climate Risk Research Foundation in cooperation with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, the Sustainable Africa Initiative is supported by AWS, The Linux Foundation's OS-Climate member volunteers (who represent numerous of corporations), non-profit organizations, academic institutions, & countless others. wanting to have a positive impact on Africa.
