What is CityCamp?
A CityCamp is an unstructured conference in which the agenda is created by attendees on the day of the event. Using "Open Space Technology," we foster purpose-driven discussions around policy, programs, tech, tools, data, & our communities.
Our "unconference" convenes city officials, technologists, community organizations, analysts, academia, & beyond; together, we re-imagine how collaboration & tools can help grow & sustain a healthy future for our neighborhoods.
At CityCamp NYC, you are not an attendee; you are a participant.
An unconference focuses on intersectional dialogue & collaboration. No demos or memos. No product pitches or corporate agendas. You, the participant, set the agenda. Together, we design & organize each session. All participants play active roles in respectful dialogue, conversations, workshops, & discussions.
Our goal is simple: open exchange geared toward action. You come to share & learn.

Are you a student or looking for a scholarship or volunteer opportunity?
Volunteer:
We need volunteers to support the unconference. You spend one part of the day helping out & the other as an attendee. Learn more & apply before Monday, August 24, at 11:59 PM at this site.
Scholarships:
A select number of scholarship tickets are available & will prioritize traditionally underserved & underrepresented communities. Learn more & apply before Wednesday, September 17, at 12:00 PM; apply here.
Do you work for a Government agency/department?
If you work for a government agency/department & want to purchase a general admission ticket by check or purchase order (PO), government ticket opportunities close on Wednesday, September 17, by 5:00 PM. Please email us at citycamp@beta.nyc.
Sponsors, want to support the conference?
We're looking for mission-aligned sponsors to help cover conference costs, including meals, coffee, childcare, & ASL interpretation. Learn more about our opportunities to support by filling out this form.
Press & Media: Interested in covering the event?
Media credentials are available to reporters, editors working as reporters, producers, video camera operators, & still photographers who present valid press identification. If you want to attend to cover a session or the event, email us your valid press identification to citycamp@beta.nyc. We will follow up.
General Event Information:
What is included in my ticket?
All tickets include access to a full day of conference sessions, lunch, snacks, & coffee. We offer free, professional on-site childcare. Space is limited. Please register if you are interested.
Childcare
We have contracted on-site childcare for children under the age of 18. In order to use this service, you MUST be a ticket-holder, & you MUST register your child(ren) before September 11th by acquiring a Childcare Ticket. Each child you register requires a ticket registration. There are limited spots available, so please sign up sooner rather than later! If you have any questions, please email us at citycamp+childcare@beta.nyc.
Accessibility & Accommodations
We want CityCamp to be usable by everyone who wants to take part. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available upon request. Service animals are always welcome. The conference is delivered in English & uses technical terms.
If you need ASL interpretation, or have any other accessibility question or request, email us at citycamp@beta.nyc by Friday, September 4. Requests after that date are welcome, & we will do what we can, but we cannot promise to fill them.

Health Policy
If you're not feeling well, PLEASE stay home. We strive to create a safe environment for everyone. (Please see our refund policy for questions.)
We encourage everyone to wear a high-quality mask at all times (except when eating & drinking). We will have ample KF-94 masks in various sizes for you to wear. Masks keep our staff, volunteers, & attendees safe. Masking helps prevent the spread of viruses - this is science, based on data!
Refund Policy
Contact us to request a refund. We will try to honor all of your refund requests at citycamp+refund@beta.nyc. Please note that some ticketing fees are nonrefundable.
