DETAILS

AI technology like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Anthropic's Claude, Midjourney & many others will play an increasingly large role in our day-to-day lives. To this end, New York AI Users will host our monthly tech talks & social gathering at Viam's office in Midtown. Viam is an engineering platform for data, AI, and. automation. They will graciously provide free drinks & food for the event. The space & accommodations will be perfect for our talks & the social that follows.

From the creators & organizers of New York Tech & Beer, New York AI Users organizes high-quality AI events that both educate & connect AI enthusiasts in the New York area who use or want to use AI to meet their creative, entrepreneurial, & technical aspirations. No technical background is required, only an interest in learning about these tools of the future. Founders, engineers, & creatives are all welcome!

For our February meeting, we will gather at Viam & we will host:

Talks on AI:

For our first talk, we will hear from Gabriel Muller. Gabriel will talk about The Content Curve, a strategic framework for content creation in the age of AI. We'll learn how to maximize impact by focusing human creativity at the edges of the content lifecycle while leveraging AI & LLMs. This talk is ideal for developers, content creators, product managers-and anyone else interested in maximizing the potential of AI tools while maintaining authentic, high-quality output. Gabriel is a writer & communications strategist who's built a career providing narrative coaching, ghostwriting, & custom content creation for leaders in various sectors, including Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, & global consultancies. As a creative director at The Atlantic's creative agency, he skillfully employed long-form journalism, podcasts, & video to engage audiences. Today, he runs his own storytelling consultancy that marries his traditional journalistic training with cutting-edge AI technologies. He has written for & advised storytellers at McKinsey, The Financial Times, Salesforce, & Google.

For our second talk, we will hear from Jack Damon. Jack will touch on creating & using large visual language models to tailor a specialized, smaller vision model for use in business. Jack is currently a product manager for data & machine learning at Viam. Previously, Jack founded a YC backed consumer software startup & studied computer science at Columbia.

After the talks, there will be social time with the attendees & the speakers for the remainder of the evening, with free drinks & food

We're excited to see you soon!

Note: There will be no refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the event
