Time to build applications that #cantbeevil!
The deadline for the Can't Be Evil: Part 2 app development contest is approaching! If you need some support, we'll be hosting a hacking session on Aug 13th to give you the final push you need to submit your app.
By developing an app that #cantbeevil, you will be putting users in control of their data, & supporting privacy & digital rights. Plus, you'll be eligible to win up to $15,000 in cash & other additional prizes. See contest details here.

Welcome & Introduction
Introduction to Blockstack - 15 mins
Reflecting on Can't Be Evil 1 & demo winning apps. - 20 mins
Introduce Can't Be Evil 2 - 10 mins
Hacking live
We'll kick off this meetup with some light socializing & then dinner sponsored by Blockstack (vegan & vegetarian options available).
From there (7:30-9:00pm), it's work, work, work! We'll take a few little breaks in between, but the goal is to get a solid start on your app by the time you leave, which you can continue to work on the following week.
**NOTE that this is not a hackathon in the traditional sense. You are encouraged to get a head start on your app before coming to the session, & you're allowed to keep working on it afterward!**
Our priority is to support you by giving you space & resources (i.e. Blockstack Engineering Partners) needed to build an application that you're proud to submit (that can rep NYC) & has a good chance of winning!
**We strongly recommend you complete the introductory ("Zero-to-Dapp") tutorial before coming to the session.**
