About the panelists

Akhil Shah is the COO of Covera Health. He oversees the business operations & key strategic initiatives.. He was previously a consultant & practice lead at Optimity Advisors, a boutique operations-oriented consulting firm, where he focused on payer & provider value-based care initiatives. He received his undergraduate degree & Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. Akhil is an unapologetic Michigan Wolverines & long-suffering New York Mets fan.
Ryan Hungate is the Co-Founder & CEO of Simplifeye, the number one technology experience for healthcare providers, patients & their businesses. The company's platform of software solution helps health care providers improve productivity, efficiency & profitability. They've recently raised a Series A which included investors from First Round & Felicis Ventures.
Thomas Clozel is the co-founder of OWKIN, an AI startup that uses machine learning to augment medical & biological research. OWKIN develops scientific collaborations with top-tier medical institutions like Mount Sinai & the Cleveland Clinic & partners with leading pharmaceutical companies. He's a former assistant professor of oncology/hematology in Paris, & has co-lead different projects focused on prediction of resistance to chemotherapy & ways to reverse it at Weill Cornell Medical College.
