Jeremy Harper, Principal, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator

Jeremy is an Associate at Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, focusing on early stage technology investing and mentoring across multiple sectors, both enterprise and consumer. Jeremy was previously an early employee on the Booz Allen Hamilton commercial team, a digital strategist for Unilever, and the head of marketing for The5thMedium. Jeremy received a B.A. from Brown University.

Jay Thakrar, Venture Capitalist, SeedInvest

Jay heads up deal sourcing at SeedInvest, a leading investment platform which connects 13,000+ institutional and accredited investors with $495MM+ in collective investor interest to highly-vetted startup investment opportunities. Prior to SeedInvest, Jay was an Investment Associate at Cambridge Associates (CA), where he specialized in private equity and venture capital. Before CA, he led business development at SoluSoft, where he focused on product management and marketing for business process management solutions. He also founded a music and event management company, JT Entertainers, which specialized in private and corporate events globally. He studied Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Marketing at Babson College and Managerial Economics and Strategy at the London School of Economics. During his time at Babson, he was also an Entrepreneurship Mentor on campus. In his spare time, Jay enjoys training karate, mixing music, traveling the world, and exploring new cuisines.

Sumeet Shah, Senior Associate, Brand Foundry Ventures

Sumeet is responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring new opportunities at Brand Foundry Ventures. He has 6 years of experience across the startup and private equity industries, formerly running new business strategies at Gist Digital and handling business development and project work at Gotham Consulting Partners. Sumeet graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Biomechanics.

Peter Nicholas, Director of Investment Strategy, Facilitated Growth

Before joining Facilitated Growth in 2013, as a series 7 and 63 registered representative, Pete was involved in investments spanning both the public and private markets. At National Securities, he maintained client relationships, managed client accounts, and oversaw a team of people. As Director of Investment Strategy at FG, he is currently using his assets to assist entrepreneurs in navigating through the early stages of the business process, with a focus on investor sentiment. Owen Davis, Managing Director, NYC Seed

Owen is currently Managing Director of NYC Seed, a seed stage venture capital fund in New York City. Owen founded Thinking Media, an online marketing firm and co- founded Sonata, a wireless company that provided location-based services and marketing to cell phones. Owen also co-founded, Petal Computing, a early cloud computing company. Owen is the author of various patents in Internet methods and technologies the author of the book Instant Java Applets. Owen has been named one of the 100 most influential people in Silicon Alley. He received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and has taught seminars at New York University in NYC and Abu Dhabi.

Alden Mahabir, Manager, Verizon Ventures

Alden Mahabir joined Verizon Ventures in 2013 and supports its strategic marketing and venture development efforts, while also evaluating investment opportunities across industries. Alden brings over 12 years of experience in corporate venture capital, investment banking, and investment research, all focused on technology, media, and telecom. Prior to Verizon Ventures, he worked at Goodrich Capital, where he advised startups and private companies on their business strategies and helped them to raise growth equity capital. He has also held leadership positions at Utendahl Capital Partners, CIBC World Markets, Lehman Brothers, and C.E. Unterberg, Towbin. At a young age, Alden co-founded Vintage Research (age 25), an investment research & consulting firm, and Good Buy Realty (age 19). Alden received his B.A. in Economics at Rutgers University and his MBA from New York Universitys Stern School of Business.

Craig Mullett, Director, Angel Investor Forum (AIF)

Craig Mullett is the Founder and President of Branison Group, a corporate finance firm based in Connecticut. He is also a Director of the Angel Investor Forum (AIF), part of the Angel Capital Association (ACA), and a mentor at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute at Yale University. He has many active angel investments that include cloud computing software, mobile digital security, consumer goods and medical devices. Craig has an MBA from the Netherlands Business School at Nyenrode University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Cape Town.

Jeffrey Silverman is a Co-Managing Partner of Laconia Capital Group, L.P., a fund investing in Late Seed and Series-A stage of B-to-B SaaS companies. The fund has investments in Sports Recruits and AutoFi. Jeffreys previous fund, Laconia Capital, holds investments in over 25 companies such as TripleLift, Wymsee, C3 Metrics, ALICE, Kik & Localytics.

David Arcara, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director, Laconia Capital Group, L.P.

David Arcara is co-founder and co-Managing Director of Laconia Capital Group L.P. Laconia is a venture capital fund focused on late seed-stage digital technology companies. David has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and general manager of young high-growth and turnaround media and marketing businesses, both digital and traditional. He has raised, either as lead entrepreneur or as part of the founding team, nearly $100 million dollars of angel and venture funding. David is a member of New York Angels, as well as Harvard Business School Angels. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Andrew Kangpan, Analyst, ff Venture Capital

Andrew is an Analyst at ff Venture Capital, focusing on early stage technology analysis and investing across a wide range of sectors. Previously, Andrew was a Senior Associate at Prophet where he worked with some of the world's largest companies to drive sustinable growth through the use of digital technologies. Andrew earned a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from The Stern School of Business at NYU.

Luis Valdich, Managing Director, Venture Investing, Citi Ventures

Luis joined Citi Ventures in November 2015 to lead its venture investing activities out of New York covering also Europe and Israel. In this role he partners closely with Citi businesses firmwide and with the financial technology startup ecosystem to identify and invest in attractive companies that can be strategic to Citi and where Citi can add value.

Jess Compagnola, VP of Finance & Operations, Gust

Jess is the Vice President of finance and operations at Gust, a global funding platform for early-stage investments. He brings to Gust a substantial track record as a successful distressed debt and private equity investor for eight years at a Connecticut based hedge fund. Prior to being on the buy-side, Jess was a turnaround advisor for troubled companies where he partnered with management teams to restructure credit agreements and strengthen their finance and accounting departments. Jess received his Bachelors in Finance from NYU.

Roger Chen, Investor, Genacast Ventures

Roger is an investor at Genacast Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm affiliated with Comcast Ventures. He focuses on B2B technology startups that have a presence in the Northeast US. Prior to joining Genacast Ventures, Roger held several roles in tech and venture capital including several years working on product at Google with stints in Maps, Chrome, and Spam. Roger holds a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Michigan and is completing his MBA at Wharton.
