How can we involve everyone in changing the paradigm of an industry?

Meet Lilian Ruiz, COO of Civil & Manoush Zomorodi of Zigzag podcast, formerly NPR journalist & host of 'Note to Self', to discuss a new model for journalism.

We probably agree that many business models, like journalism, are dangerously compromised.
But how do we change the model when it requires turning consumers into active participants, taking them along on the pioneering path with us? How to honor their trust while also balancing one's own responsibility with the need to take chances to innovate?

In this session we will learn from Lillian Ruiz about Civil, a project looking to create sustainable journalism by changing the traditional funding model. Using blockchain & crypto economics anyone is invited to fund newsrooms & the public becomes the arbiter of truth through a token based voting mechanism.

Then meet Manoush Zomorodi, award winning podcast-star of humanizing-tech shows like Note to Self. She followed the promise of blockchain & Civil to start with her partner Jen Poyant, ZigZag, in partnership with Civil & Radiotopia. It's a podcast about changing the course of capitalism, journalism, & womens lives.'

Season Two officially kicks off on Oct 11, 2018 go here to catch up with previous episodes:
