We believe that disruption creates opportunity & that's why we are working with Microsoft & AngelHack to bring you the Agents of Change Hackathon. Over 36 hours in the Big Apple we are inviting you, the best East Coast developer, designer, & entrepreneurial minds to build solutions to customize insurance plans, leverage data from IoT, & help insurance agencies advise those affected by natural disasters.

Challenge: Develop a solution that will enhance the products or service offerings of insurance companies to help better serve their customers in one of the below challenge tracks.

Tracks:
Custom Coverage Challenge:

Help companies customize their insurance plans using open source data! Some examples of relevant data could be:

Location
Customer demographic
Risk profiles of owners


Disaster Relief Challenge:

Build disaster relief insurance solutions to help homeowners / businesses better recover from a disaster

Examples:

Storing home insurance, mortgage documents, or proof of insurance on a blockchain



IoT Challenge:

Create a solution that will help EY customers make insurance decisions by utilizing data from IoT devices

Examples: home telematics (see www.getroost.com) that help insurance policyholders to mitigate the cost & hassle of fire, smoke & water leak related claims.

Teams of up to 5 participants are allowed. All team members must have completed the participation agreement to compete.
You may not begin your project until the competition officially begins. please don't come in & build on top of previous projects if you want to win.
Teams have full ownership of everything they build at our events & are free to do with it as they wish.
Winning teams will be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately before winning.
