About TiE Vancouver
TiE Angels Vancouver (TAV) is part of TiE Global Angels - Americas. TGA Americas is an umbrella organization representing the TiE chapters in North America & their affiliated angel groups. Founding chapters include Silicon Valley, SoCal, Boston, Atlanta, & Vancouver. Members include 1000+ active angels in the US & Canada, making us one of the largest early stage investing organizations in North America.
Our goal is to bridge Canadian entrepreneurs to global investors, & to provide Canadian investors access to global startups by leveraging the world's most extensive investor network.
About TAV Extended Canadian Investor Network
In addition to our own members, we work with other Accredited Canadian Investors for sharing of deal flow, access to our rolling fund, & SPV syndication opportunities. We also provide syndication opportunities to small cheque writers in following categories - female, BIPOC, & current operators in the tech sector.
We are committed to developing a new, more diverse cohort of startup investors at the angel, syndicate & LP levels. We give female & BIPOC angels exposure to private deals & opportunity to work with experienced investors. They also benefit from the group's process to assess & conduct due diligence on potential investments. Syndication allows under-represented angels to participate in seed rounds with smaller cheques. Our over-arching goal is closing the diversity gap in startup investing, & making wealth creation through technology investments more accessible & inclusive. This also gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to diversify their cap tables.
About TiE Vancouver Charter Membership
Leadership level membership gives Charter Members priority access to deal flow, preferred access to our rolling fund, & SPV syndication opportunities at the Vancouver Chapter & beyond. Charter Members also have unique & exclusive access to global retreats & TiEcons & member-only opportunities to connect with TiE's global network of 72 chapters & over 3,000 Charter Members worldwide who are captains of industry in their geographies, & influential leaders in their fields.
TiE holds regular networking & educational events throughout the year - most of which are open to public.
This event is part of the TiE Talks series - an initiative of TiE Angels Vancouver where we host active investors & entrepreneurs who've recently raised, to de-mystify startup financing & capital raising.
