It will be an action-packed evening where multidisciplinary teams pitch solutions to satisfy real-world needs to a captive audience.
Built for beginners & experienced builders alike, no AI background required.
This edition's theme: Moving to a New City.
Stamford is seeing a wave of new residents right now.
What problems do they run into - finding housing, meeting people, navigating the city, choosing food, settling in?
Your team will select one topic & build something to address it.
You are encouraged to vibe-code a platform/service.
Teams of 3-6 people will turn a problem into a working prototype & a pitch/presentation.
Success depends on more than a working demo - it's judged on problem definition, market research, product design, storytelling, & how well you put AI tools to use, & will be judged by a panel of experienced judges from the industry.
Here's how it works:
Register on Luma - bring your own team, or register as a free agent & we'll place you on a team.
We kicked off with a Meet & Greet orientation on Sept 16, where this edition's theme was announced - teams are free to start building from that day, at their own pace. If you missed the Meet & Greet, no problem - you can still register as a free agent, or reach out to a team asking to join.
Oct 5 - Team assignment day for free agents & UConn students. They get placed onto a team on a rolling basis by organizers, as seen on the dashboard at this link
https://bwai.web.app/vibe2pitch
Registration stays open after this.
Build your project with your team - The organizers won't set up the team meetings, that is scheduled by the teams amongst themselves. The building time is this whole window between the day you join a team, to the pitch day.
Oct 18 - Confirm your team's attendance.
Oct 21 - Pitch day - The main event
Here's the schedule for pitch day itself (Oct 21st):
6:00 - 6:30 PM - Registration & open networking.
6:30 - 6:45 PM - Welcome: an introduction to Building with AI & Vibe2Pitch.
6:45 - 8:45 PM - Pitch time
8:45 - 9:00 PM - Awards, results, & wrap-up.
Judging Rubric (Each criterion rated 1-5 points)

Offers Valuable User Benefits - does the solution create clear, tangible value for the user?
Shows Strong Advantages Over Current Solutions - is it meaningfully better than what exists today?
Delivers a Confidence-Inspiring Presentation - is the pitch clear, credible & persuasive?
Demonstrates a Strong Prototype - does the prototype show the core workflow & credible evidence that it works?
Don't have a team?
Register as a free agent - we'll assign you one starting from October 5th onwards, on a rolling basis.
Already have a venture?
If it's relevant to the themes of AI & Moving to a New City, you are welcome to pitch!
