- Consider your timing when starting or transitioning into an HW or HW-related role for maximum impact
- Firefighting vs juggling - HW will lean on SW (and its resources) to fix bugs. Winning often with HW means having multiple buns in multiple ovens. Don't hope to develop HW with Agile methodology.
- Strategy & foresight vs data & pivots - testing with HW users is anecdotal & you have to work with little data. Consider first mover advantage or disadvantage. Consider how you build an ecosystem.
