I am excited to officially announce our next NYVR Meetup which will be focused on digital fashion. The event will be our normal format of 6-7pm Demos/Networking, 7-8pm Presentations, & 8-9pm, more Demos/Networking.
Below is the amazing lineup:
- 3 Minute Lightening Presentations
1) Trish Gianakis - The "LED Sling Bag" designed by Trish Classe Gianakis is a wearable art piece that combines style & technology. This unisex, waterproof sling bag features a LED computer board display, where Trish mints & uploads her unique NFT animations. The result is a dynamic & visually captivating accessory that merges digital art with everyday fashion, allowing you to carry & showcase cutting-edge creativity wherever you go.
2) Will Roberts - a world builder, designer, & game developer, will present "XRG: Xross Reality Gear," where he'll explore how Valla, his cross-reality combat sport, complements XRG by reimagining the intersection of sport, fashion, & XR. This lightning talk will cover the creation of avatars, phygital clothing, & their role in enhancing immersion, wellness, community & youth culture. Together, these innovations push the boundaries of VR Esports, avatar identity, & the future of athletics.

4) Mithru Vigneshwara - Mithru is the head of the tech & product teams at QReal, where he leads the development of lifelike 3D experiences & products for diverse industries. In his talk, Mithru delves into the innovative use of realistic 3D models in fashion e-commerce, highlighting their impact on retail & marketing strategies.
5) Lucky Gobindram - Join Lucky Lance Gobindram, General Manager at CXR.Agency, as he presents cutting-edge XR projects in the fashion industry, including Richemont's ARcadium, VR Training Platform, & IFSG's immersive experience. He will also unveil a new VR project designed to revolutionize trade shows for Richemont's watchmaking school, aimed at attracting fresh talent to the industry.
6) Michael Ferraro - Michael is the Executive Director of the FIT Design & Technology Lab & will be presenting several recent projects.
