Join us at LMHQ for an important conversation with ThriveNYC about mental health & wellness at work & in everyday life.
Did you know that depression is the leading cause of disability, with more than 300 million people suffering from depression & anxiety globally? A recent World Health Organization-led study estimates that depression & anxiety disorders cost the global economy $1 trillion each year in lost productivity. Dysfunctional working environments, including a negative organizational or managerial environment, or even just lacking available support to carry out work tasks, can have a serious impact on employees that may lead to physical & mental health issues, even as simple as feeling stressed or burnt out.
So, how do we start breaking down the stigma about mental health & bring mental wellness into our lives? Governmental & city-based programs, like New York City's ThriveNYC & other official strategies & policies, can bring awareness to the mental health crisis & provide resources to help people live healthier lives & support healthier working environments.
Hear from ThriveNYC, thecomprehensive mental health plan for New York City, along with expertsin the mental health, wellness, & HR industries discuss why strategies for mental health & wellness are dire, how your workplace environment can promote better mental health & wellness policies, & how to take action.
Entrance to this free event is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive on time to grab a seat. Doors open at 8:30 AM for bagels & coffee & an opportunity for networking. We can't wait to see you there!
