Porsha Thomas is a strategist & content creator with an affinity for branding & digital marketing. She runs GOWRKGRLS, a business development consultancy on a mission to help women entrepreneurs successfully market their offerings. When she isn't hunched over her laptop or phone-scrolling, you can catch her passing the time with yoga, good food, good wine, & True Crime.
Rica Elysee - is a committed entrepreneur in tech - she was a successful community organizer, marketer, & fundraising exec who had founded an influential beauty & makeup community for women of color in Boston. Rica was also helping take care of a disabled family member & she noticed how confident hair appointments made this family member feel - but it was hard to find accessible salons & to book & keep appointments. She noticed that most women in her beauty group faced similar problems - late or canceled appointments & long waits for beauty services. So she used her knowledge of the beauty industry, marketing & fundraising to try to solve the beauty bookings problem. Her startup, BeautyLynk (beautylynk.com) brings the beauty salon into women's homes. She has also co-founded #AttheTable a curated dinner experience for female founders to build connections, resources & friends. Rica is dedicated to changing the world & lets her commitment drive her work.
Courtney Brand is the Founder & CEO of thelighthouse. Prior to thelighthouse, she worked as a Management Consultant for 5 years in New York, Shanghai, & Beijing, selling & delivering work to top clients including Alibaba, Apple, Mercedes, Porsche, & Danone. After working for two years in New York, Courtney was transferred to PwC's Shanghai office to help launch the firm's new digital & innovation consulting practice in China which became the second highest revenue-generating team. As the Founder & CEO of thelighthouse, she is working to empower professionals with the network, insights, & support to thrive in their ever-changing careers & the fast changing world of work. She speaks Mandarin Chinese & French & graduated from Georgetown University.
