Meet our Speakers
Marc Balcke, Principal Accounting Officer
Marc is the Principal Accounting Officer at Flatiron Health, where he oversees all accounting, reporting, taxes, & procurement matters. Previously, he created from the bottom up the infrastructure, processes & controls, & hired his entire team, as part of the controllership at another Health-Tech company, Noom. He also led a global accounting team at Outbrain, & prior to this position he was an experienced senior manager at Deloitte Advisory, New York. Marc worked on different areas such as finance transactions, technical accounting, & finance transformation, in various industries across the globe. He graduated from the European Business School, Paris, & is a Rviseur d'Entreprises in Luxembourg.
Julia Tedesco, Associate Principal, Life Science Partnerships
Julia is an Associate Principal of Life Sciences Partnerships at Flatiron Health, where she is responsible for enterprise-wide engagements with biopharma customers within Flatiron's real world evidence (RWE) business. Within this role, Julia also helps lead the commercial & go-to-market strategy for RWE solutions. Prior to Flatiron, Julia worked at The Dedham Group as a life sciences strategy consultant. Julia graduated from Cornell University, where she concentrated in Human Biology, Health & Society.
Raina Mathur, Director, Quantitative Sciences
Raina is a Director on the Quantitative Sciences team. In her current role she is responsible for the strategic operations of the team of scientists working within the Custom Solutions & Services business who support scoping & execution of our analytics & consulting services engagements. Raina also leads engagements with life sciences partners to inform use of real-world data & evidence across clinical development, market access, & commercial use cases. Previously, Raina was a management consultant within PwC's Life Sciences R&D Advisory practice, where she focused projects in clinical trial operations & designed & implemented frameworks & workflows to facilitate go / no-go decision making for drug & vaccine candidates. Raina has a graduate degree in Epidemiology from Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health & did her Bachelor's degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
