Anna Makanju is OpenAI's Vice President of Global Impact. She previously worked on technology regulation at Facebook & SpaceX & taught at Princeton. Anna spent eight years in the Obama/Biden administration, where she served as a senior policy advisor to the Vice President, as a director on the NSC, & in a number of senior roles at the Department of State & the Pentagon. She received her law degree from Stanford, & has worked at international criminal tribunals in the Hague, on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, & in the international arbitration group of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Anna also serves on the boards of Coty, Panera Brands, & the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford.
