About this event
Meet the investor - Office hours with Lavanya Bhamidipati, Investor at InHealth Ventures (IHV)
You asked, & we listened! We are thrilled to start our new events series Meet the investor. There are so many brilliant investors in our WoW community & this is your chance to meet them, learn from them & ask all your burning questions!
This session is envisioned to be a fireside chat & AMA session crossbreed, meaning you can hear from the investor, how & why they invest, how to pitch them & ask them any questions. As the WoW community is mostly all about health tech, this will be our focus for this events series, too - highlight health tech investors from the WoW community. Join us!
Meet the investor
Lavanya Bhamidipati is an investor at InHealth Ventures (IHV), a $50m fund focused on early-stage health & biotech companies. Named as one of Business Insider's female VCs to watch, Lavanya is an expert at spotting emerging trends in health tech thanks to an in-depth understanding of the healthcare landscape across the US, Europe, & Asia, thanks to previous experience working across all three continents.
Lavanya has developed data-driven analytical models to reduce unconscious bias in the investment process & also uses algorithms to analyse multiple levers that can identify strong founders & areas in need of disruption.
She has co-led the due-diligence of investments in both the US & Europe, including Imvaria, Suki, & Healios. She has a particular interest in innovation disrupting radiology & the role of AI in diagnostics.
About InHealth Ventures
InHealth Ventures is focused on backing early-stage founders who are on a mission to solve painful, pervasive healthcare challenges. They invest in companies that can increase access to care, improve clinical outcomes & reduce the financial burden associated with treatment.
They are linked to InHealth, the UK's largest specialist provider of diagnostic & healthcare solutions, which means they have a breadth of commercial & operational experience that allows them to support portfolio companies across R&D, go-to-market, & regulatory strategy. They believe one of the biggest hurdles for healthcare founders to overcome is understanding the healthcare sector sales cycle. They use their experience & network to help them navigate this.
They come in at an early stage, normally writing cheques in the $1-3m range, but also participate in larger follow on rounds.
