As a student in the Global Entrepreneurship Gap Year, you'll spend your weeks immersed in a blend of experiential learning, virtual talks, activities, engaging group discussions & 1:1 mentoring. In addition to gaining an entrepreneurial mindset, the skills learned in this 10 week program will not only ensure you have a successful internship, but can also be applied to all areas of life - in school, business & the community (5 hours per week). You'll learn about the following topics:

- Etiquette + Networking
- Agility + Resiliency
- Career Exploration
* In a fast changing world where challenges caused by disruption, technology & automation will impact on your career, the skills gained here will help ensure that you can respond & adapt to achieve your goals. You will likely have more than a dozen jobs/careers & your success will be dependent on an entrepreneurial, innovative & agile mindset complemented by superior soft skills & a robust professional network.
An internship with a local small business will be required. While the focus of your work will be determined by the entrepreneur in consultation with your coach, we expect it to be focused on digital marketing, eCommerce and/or sales, particularly during this pandemic when most businesses are struggling to survive (10 hours per week).
By helping a local business survive & thrive during this downturn, you will be providing an important & impactful service to the community, economy & larger ecosystem.
An additional internship with another business located outside your home state or country is recommended, though optional (10 hours per week). This opportunity will help you gain international experience & perspective so you can compare & contrast entrepreneurial challenges, operations, marketing, etc.
Access to Entrepreneurship Networks
Students will gain access to the Global Entrepreneurship network & be invited to exclusive, invite only events on a monthly basis during & after completion of the program. They will include zoom chats with top entrepreneurs & innovation leaders.
You will also be provided access to an exclusive LinkedIn Group as well as complimentary membership in other national & global entrepreneurship support communities.
