About our Speakers:
Natalie Sportelli, Director of Brand & Content at Lerer Hippeau

Natalie Sportelli is the Director of Brand & Content at Lerer Hippeau. She comes from Forbes, where she served as Associate Editor for the Under 30 vertical. She has experience in print, digital, & radio from her time with Forbes, CNBC, & the newspaper & radio station in her native Syracuse, NY. She sits on the Junior Advisory Board of tech nonprofit RaisedBy.Us & runs @bywomenvcs, a Twitter handle that amplifies content by women in venture capital. She graduated from Colgate University, where she studied English & History.

Annie Shapiro, VP of Platform at Inspired Capital

At Inspired Capital, Annie focuses on Inspired's portfolio companies, supporting them on marketing, talent strategy, & beyond. She also produces the firm's podcast with, The Founders Project. Prior to Inspired Capital, Annie was a Director of Marketing at Namely, the HR tech startup, where she oversaw content, communications, & product marketing. Annie began her career as one of the first employees at LearnVest, the financial planning startup. At LearnVest, she did a tour of duty, with experience spanning marketing, product, & business development. As the Brand Marketing Manager, she led the company through milestones including sold-out LearnVest Live events across the country, the launch of New York Times-bestseller Financially Fearless, & the announcement of LearnVest's acquisition by Northwestern Mutual. Annie earned an A.B. in Art History & Italian from Princeton University.

Helen Gibney, Head of Marketing & Community at Human VC

Helen joined the Human team in 2018 as Head of Marketing & Community. She leads marketing initiatives that foster & grow the Human community-including events, communications, partnerships, & fundraising. Before joining the Human Ventures team, Helen worked closely with entrepreneurs as the Platform Manager at Compound & in operational roles at SoulCycle & Roomi. Helen began her career as an analyst at J.P. Morgan working with privately held business owners. She is passionate about collaborating with Humans who are positively impacting the world.

Rocky Lachman, Head of Marketing at Tribeca Venture Partners

Rocky is Head of Marketing at Tribeca Venture Partners where she leads marketing for the firm & advises portfolio companies on marketing & branding. She is a brand leader with experience in financial services, health & wellness & lifestyle brand marketing in Fortune 500, startup & entrepreneurial companies. Rocky has led marketing at early & mid-stage startups, focusing on brand & digital marketing, innovation, retail strategy, experiential, partnerships & pr & communications. She lives & breathes brands & has spent time at The Coca-Cola Company, American Express, S'well & BlackRock. Rocky graduated cum laude from Harvard with a B.A. in economics & Spanish. She received her MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. She was awarded the Kellogg Dean's Distinguished Service Award for her efforts in women's leadership.

Emily St. Denis, Head of Platform at Female Founders Fund

Emily joined Female Founders Fund in 2018. As Head of Platform, Emily runs brand, content, social, community efforts, operations, talent, & portfolio support. Emily began her career as one of SoulCycle's first corporate hires, where she built out the company's first standard operating procedures, set up their national procurement system & logistics program, & led strategic operational initiatives through periods of high growth. After 4+ years at SoulCycle, Emily worked as the Director of Operations for an international fitness franchise before transitioning to VC. Emily holds a BA from Skidmore College, where she studied Psychology & American History.
