About this event
In conjunction with Software for Artists Day, explore virtual world building within the game engine Unreal in this introductory workshop led by Tech Resident Alum Woody Sullender. Students will utilize provided assets to build out navigable virtual environments with lights, interactive elements, sound, physics, etc. in hands-on lessons with the software. Ultimately students will understand larger production workflows.

Date: This in-person workshop will meet twice on Sunday, September 25 & Sunday, October 2 from 1-5pm.

Price: $0-75

Audience: Open to all.

Materials: Participants should bring their own laptops. We can provide a limited number of laptops available upon request. All participants will need to download Unreal.

Woody Sullender is an artist based in Queens, NY. His pieces encompass a myriad of media including sculpture, video games, performance, theater, music, installation, architecture, origami, & sonic weaponry. His recent work utilizes video game space as an arena to undermine specific modernist ideologies & rituals of music reception.
