Join Columbia DSL for a summer of making, testing, & imagining together. This meetup opens the door to the Dead Internet Museum, a growing collective project that will become a 10,000-square-foot installation at MAD Arts this fall. We're inviting artists, students, designers, technologists, storytellers, & curious people of all kinds to step into the process early. Come meet new collaborators, try things before they are finished, share ideas, build small experiments, & help shape the world of the project as it comes to life. No special background is needed. Just bring your curiosity, your point of view, & a willingness to make something strange with others.
The session will be followed by an open discussion on designing, producing, & funding immersive works. Special guests include Nick Fortugno (Director Gaming Pathways, CUNY), Shar Simpson (Artist & Educator, Columbia DSL), & Lance Weiler (artists & Columbia DSL Director)
