Information architecture is critical to ensuring products & services are easy to use & navigate. A well organized IA makes for a better user experience, improved productivity, less frustration, more satisfaction, & in the end, happier customers.
Join Rebecca Klee, a User Researcher from Optimal Workshop, as she shares tips & practical techniques for taking your information architecture testing practice beyond the basics.
This will be a hands-on workshop & attendees are encouraged to bring their own device. Practical activities will include running a moderated card sort to incorporate in-person insights with remote responses & combining a range of user research inputs to create & run your own tree test.
Bonus:Each attendee will receive 1 month's complimentary access to Optimal Workshop's user research suite valued at $199 USD.

Workshop outline:

Overview of IA testing - Understand where testing fits within an IA project & how to maximise methods like card sorting & tree testing by using them in combination.

Set up a card sort for success - Define objectives, select content & design your card sort to collect richer insights.

Analyze card sort results - Combine exploratory & statistical methods to develop alternative IA structures.

Design tree tests with confidence - Create structures & write tasks to collect the insights you need. Use alternative task types to learn more from your test.
