Viviana I. Risca, PhDAssistant ProfessorHead, Laboratory of Genome Architecture & DynamicsThe Rockefeller University
Viviana Riscais an Assistant Professor & head of the Laboratory of Genome Architecture & Dynamics at The Rockefeller University. She & her laboratorystudy how the three-dimensional organization of chromatin in the eukaryotic nucleus reflects & regulates DNA-based processes, with an emphasis on mechanisms of transcriptional regulation. Dr. Risca received her Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley & then went on to develop new technology for mapping sub-kilobase-scale chromatin folding as a postdoctoral scholar in the Genetics & Biochemistry Departments at Stanford University.
