AI is changing the way we work, create, & problemsolve - whether we're ready for it or not. The headlines warn about job loss, disruption, & a tidal wave of new tools, but here's the real story: the people who learn to build with AI, not just watch it from the sidelines, will shape what comes next.
This isn't a theory lecture. It's a handson, fastpaced session where we explore vibe coding - a creative, improvisational approach to building things with AI when you don't have all the answers (or even all the skills) upfront. You'll see live examples of how to turn a vague idea into something tangible, remix AI outputs into your own style, & avoid the common traps that make AIbuilt projects well, stink.
In preparation for the up-coming NASA Space Apps Hackathon (on October 3rd, 4th, & 5th), we'll also have a presentation on OpenSpace, the AMNH's open-source platform that powers immersive astronomy & Earth visualizations.
Whether you're a designer, strategist, student, nonprofit leader, or just AIcurious, you'll leave with practical ways to harness these tools for your work - & keep your human edge. The bots aren't going away. Let's make sure they're working for you, not replacing you.
