The financial services world is warming to open source collaboration. Banks are finding that contributing to open source projects they use can decrease development costs & increase security. Fintech startups are making open source part of their core strategy & value proposition, & raising venture capital in the process. Algorithmic & high frequency trading companies are choosing languages developed as open source projects on which to develop training platforms. Blockchain technology is making open source competence a fundamental requirement in financial services.

Still, fintech is in the first stages of its open source transformation. The purpose of this meetup is to bring together the community of people thinking about - & developing on - open source in financial services & fintech, both global banks & early stage pre-seed startups. We'll have speakers, panel discussions, tech demos, & other programming, but we'll also leave plenty of time for members to share a drink & talk to one other about the work they're doing in open source.

Schedule:
- 6:30 - 7:15 Networking & drinks
- 7:15 - 8:15 Program
- 8:15 - 9:00 Networking & drinks

This meetup is co-hosted by the Symphony Software Foundation (https://symphony.foundation) & TTM Advisors (http://www.ttmadvisors.com/).
