COMMITTED TO PROGRESS
THE WAY FORWARD FOR WATERFRONTS AND COASTLINES
The 2025 Waterfront Conference comes at a pivotal moment, exploring a shifting political landscape, evolving funding challenges, & transformative policy changes. With a new administration reshaping federal priorities, the event is an unparalleled opportunity to influence critical conversations & advance solutions to define the future of climate resilience, waterfronts, & coastlines.
Now in its 18th year, the Waterfront Conference continues to be the premier forum for discussion, collaboration, & innovative strategy development for the New York-New Jersey region & the nation at large. More than 600 participants, including policymakers, community leaders, scientists, engineers, architects, academics, & environmental advocates, as well as professionals from labor, real estate, insurance, & financial services will take part. In the tradition of the Waterfront Alliance's dedication to tackling the toughest issues, the 2025 Waterfront Conference will cover steps we all must take to face a complex & uncertain future.
The conference program takes place on Tuesday, May 13 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. There is also a pre-conference "floating reception," departing from Pier 81 in Manhattan on Monday, May 12 from 5-7pm, & a post-conference virtual Mayoral Forum on May 14, 7-8:30pm, with candidates running in the New York City Mayor's race.
