At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mentoring in Neuroscience Discovery at Sinai (MiNDS), the Center for Excellence in Youth Education (CEYE), & the Friedman Brain Institute have come together to offer several events to raise awareness in the East Harlem & larger New York City communities for brain research.
The annual Brain Awareness Fair is a day-long event during which members of the public are encouraged to come to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to interact with scientists & doctors who study & treat the brain. Over thirty booths of meet-the-experts, games, & informational activities are offered on topics ranging from traumatic brain injury, to memory, to perception & movement, & more. Come oogle our giant, inflatable brain to get a better sense of how your brain is structured. Speak with some of the world's leading minds on the science of addiction & depression, or meet a neurosurgeon. The unique, collaborative research & medical community at Mount Sinai lends itself to New York City's most comprehensive, exciting day of learning about the brain.
Please note: Tickets and/or registration for the event are not necessary! This page is for informational purposes only.
