THE POSITION:

The Payment Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of supervisors & associates & plays a key role in managing Payment Operations across the FanDuel Group brands. The Payment Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day Payment support & reconciliation operations & assists the Customer Finance Director shape the way our organization thinks about & manages Payments across the platform. This role requires a proficient understanding of existing & emerging Payment options, operational support, & reconciliation tasks within Daily Fantasy Sports, online gaming or related industries. Payment Operations Managers must pass required licensing as mandated by various state gaming & racing regulatory bodies. Failure to be licensed or retain licensure will result in termination of employment. This position reports into the Customer Finance Director.
THE GAME PLAN:

- Manage a core group of supervisors & associates across multiple locations in overseeing the day-to-day Payment support & reconciliation operations.
- Work closely with senior leadership to establish team strategies & goals to be cascaded down to the broader team.
- Create & deploy processes that assist in automating Payment support & reconciliation
- Drive the monthly Payment forum to report on overall key performance indicators within the support & prevention operations.
- Translate complex topics into compelling narratives for various audiences
- Take calculated risks & challenge current practices to develop & deliver innovative solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with necessary stakeholders, subject matter experts, & decision makers to develop data- driven policies, processes, & reporting to continuously improve operational performance
- Perform due diligence, build business cases, & provide recommendations to senior leadership on potential vendors & third-party tools
- Oversee team productivity & provide continuous constructive feedback & coaching
- Recruit, hire, develop & retain candidates who raise the performance bar of the Payment Operations team.
THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 5 years of Payment & Support experience in Daily Fantasy Sports or related online gaming, sports betting/e-commerce fields preferred
- Bachelors degree in business related field preferred
- Direct experience managing multi-tiered teams & the desire to help others learn & grow
- Proficient understanding online Payment options & categories as well as knowledge of common issues in the space
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of the entire chargeback workflow
- Strong analytical ability: SQL proficiency preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical & non-technical stakeholders at various levels across multiple business units.
- Passion for sports and/or gaming industry a plus
