This class is part of Playcrafting's month-long celebration of Women's History Month, featuring all-female industry pros as instructors! All are encouraged to join, regardless of gender!

Students will design a project plan template to guide the production of a game to completion.



Class Description

During this class, attendees will discuss the steps to publishing and distributing a game. Students should come with an idea for a tabletop or a digital game. We will discuss all the operational aspects to completing a game including funding, manufacturing, and distribution. Each class member will have an opportunity to design a full project plan.

Upon completing the class, attendees will leave with a list of resources to use when publishing a game and a personalized plan for developing their game.

About the Instructors

Jessica Ochoa Hendrix is the co-founder of Killer Snails LLC, an award-winning game company that develops educational science games featuring extreme creatures. Ochoa Hendrix received her MBA with a concentration in Social Enterprise from Columbia Business School in 2009.Ochoa Hendrix has worked in K-12 education for 9+ years for organizations ranging from the New York City Department of Education to Uncommon Schools.Prior to business school, she worked in marketing for theHarvard Business ReviewandThe Economist.

Noelle Posadas is an UI/UX designer with 5 years of experience creating educational mobile games and apps for brands like Sesame Street, Disney, the NFL and the American Red Cross. She studied Communications design with a focus on Illustration at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In her spare time, she is studying game design.
