New York Women Social Entrepreneurs (NYWSE), an international nonprofit supporting the next generation ofwomen change-makers presents Winning Women a monthly community event featuring stories by women-led startups, female entrepreneurs, Founders, CEO, Managers that use social missions to drive growth. At Winning Women, women share their lessons learned to an audience that ranges from 20-60s year old female & males who are eager to learn how to become better leaders, start a business, or juggle their passion project & day job.
About 1 in 5 adults in the United States experience mental illness in a given year, & 1 in 25 adults will have a debilitating mental illness that can interfere with their daily lives. Although mental illness can affect anyone, women are at a higher risk for many conditions, including anxiety & post-traumatic stress disorder. They're also 70 percent more likely than men to experience depression.
Join us for Winning Women: Self Care & Mental Health featuring apresentation & a panel discussion followed by a Q&A sessionwith women with mental health challenges & how they are ending the stigma on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at The Farm Soho.

Jessica Minhas, Human Rights, Mental Health Advocate, & Founder of I'll Go First
Jessica Minhas is a human rights & mental health advocate, & the Founder of I'll Go First, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to leveraging media & technology in order to provide mental health & trauma recovery resources for underserved communities. For the past 12 years Jessica has worked in humanitarian media, carefully producing inspiring content focused on complex social issues; & the survivor advocacy space, crafting economic empowerment programs, & investigations on behalf of sex trafficking victims. She challenges audiences to think globally, empowers them to find their purpose, & encourages them to cultivate their unique voices for the common good. This pursuit is borne from passion- everything Jessica does is colored by a commitment to shed light on issues normally silenced in shame, & offer hope to those without it.
