Class Description
Ariel Partners is offering a comprehensive two-day bootcamp workshop for Human Centered Design for IT & non-IT stakeholders. The workshop introduces new & better ways to understand the customer & develop more intuitive & user-friendly solutions. The HCD workshop teaches techniques including stakeholder mapping, empathy mapping, scenario mapping, persona definition, journey mapping, How Might We (HMW)? & pain point identification, brainstorming & ideation, future state design, & others. It introduces useful & effective tools for conducting user research including a structured interview template, surveys, focus groups, in-context immersion & wizard of oz research. Simple & effective design techniques including storyboarding, sitemaps, cover story mockups are also covered.

Come learn techniques for understanding your customers better & designing better solutions to their real problems. Real insights & innovative solutions are out there just waiting to be discovered!

About the Trainer
Speaker Bio - Craeg Strong

Craeg Strong is the CTO of Ariel Partners, a small IT consulting company based in Times Square. He teaches public classes in Kanban & Human Centered Design & coaches teams to adopt & mature Agile/Kanban practices in the NYC area. He has 25 years of experience in information technology, starting at Project Athena during his undergraduate studies at MIT. Mr. Strong has successfully instituted Agile & DevOps practices on large & complex commercial & government software projects, helping them to obtain new capabilities & realize significant cost efficiencies. Mr. Strong leverages his experience as a hands-on software architect, trainer & agile coach to help remove the barriers that prevent organizations from adopting new technologies-- such as cloud. Mr. Strong led a successful transformation of a major FBI Criminal justice program from a traditional waterfall lifecycle & manual intensive processes to lighter weight agile processes & full DevOps automation.

Cancellation Policy
