A weekly imagine-a-thon for creative good. Come build the next generation of ideas this world needs.
Sunday evenings, the back room of a vegan restaurant on East 6th Street fills with people drawn to the intersection of positive social change & new technology. Four hours later, we've met each other, ideated together, & built something real. Some teams form for the night. Some keep meeting, sunday after sunday, building what belongs in the future we want to live in.
We don't curate the guest list. Past weeks brought together a founder, a prompt engineer, a doula, a muralist, & someone restoring old radios. The room simply takes the shape of whoever shows up. One tool we use is Vibecoding: our new capacity, with AI, to build applications & digital projects with natural language in the form of text prompts.
That said, there are many ways to create & create with others.
How the evening unfolds: A community member shares something they can't stop thinking about, teaches a concept or a possible solution to a social conundrum, leads us through an activity that might be valuable to us individually & collectively.
Then, we pitch our half-formed projects. Teams form naturally around whatever sparks each person's interest. For the rest of the time, we build, we nosh, & we share what we made.
What we're actually doing: We are practicing prototyping & building new worlds. The world outside is largely playing a finite game, optimizing for extraction, scale, & speed. In this room, we step out of that.
We practice creative attention, trust, & infinite thinking. We focus fiercely on one thing, alongside people who think nothing like us. The work is sitting shoulder to shoulder with erstwhile strangers (who become community members), sharing our imagination, & building something better together.
The relationships that come from this-we call them creationships.

4:30 - doors open, settle in, say hello, order something
5:00 - opening share / activity
5:30 - intros & form projects groups for the day
6:00 - explore, make, create something
8:00 - show-and-tell
You leave inspired, a little changed, & with people you'll see again.
