The EU Merchant Sales & Solutions team is focused on ensuring that EU merchants prefer Visa. We want our clients to see Visa as a trusted strategic partner that delivers tangible value & is easy to do business with. Our actions are designed to protect & grow payment volume & revenue contributions while increasing the value merchants perceive & balancing the needs of all of our stakeholders. Our team specifically is focused on commercializing existing & new merchant relationships to drive Visa revenue. The Account Executive will report to the Senior Director, Merchant Partnership Development within the Merchant Business Development team & will play a key role in managing global merchant clients across verticals. The AE will be the single point of customer contact & own the client relationship within Europe, & will work to structure & negotiate commercial constructs, proactively source new opportunities, & drive account & market planning. We are a new team - formalized in January of 2019 - & we have team members in London, Frankfurt, Madrid, & Paris. As part of our team, you can expect to have exposure to a broad set of merchant partners, & gain experience working across clusters & functions. You will have frequent exposure to our team's leadership & play a key role in closing merchant deals across Europe. The ideal candidate will bring passion for & interest in payments, client-facing skills & presence, & knowledge of merchant strategies & priorities & will enjoy creative problem solving, working collaboratively across functions, & have an entrepreneurial mindset. The nitty gritty So what do we expect of you, day to day? You will support the management of merchant relationships. Support lead client directors in proactively managing the ongoing needs of the merchant & provide guidance to internal teams to ensure the highest quality customer service on all matters ranging from strategic to executional; Have a pro-active, solutions-oriented mindset. You will be driving positive merchant outcomes. Consultatively identifying & prioritizing merchant needs & crafting customized solutions that grow the merchants' business & increase merchant satisfaction with Visa products/services You will identify & quantifying merchant investments. You will identify merchant investment & partnership opportunities that will jointly benefit merchants & Visa, develop appropriate business cases & forecasts, advocate for funding, track performance/return of invested funds, & use learnings to inform future investments. Gain alignment & merchant buy-in. You will establish strong internal partnerships. Establish fluency in all Visa merchant-facing solutions. Collaboratively define responsibilities for various merchant outcomes with internal partners. Articulate merchant needs & influence product/capability road maps by leveraging merchant feedback, endeavouring to break down silos & work together as One Visa
