The Basics:

Tanium is searching for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to bolster Taniums growing Business Analyst function. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager - Corp Systems, you will act as an IT ambassador & trusted business partner for the General & Administrative organization. This role will have their hands in a little bit of everything but will specialize in gathering & maintaining requirements for our portfolio of projects, assist with functional & technical design, test & evaluate new & existing technologies during concept validations, act as the main liaison between stakeholder in HR, Enablement, Facilities, Physical Security, & a subset of our Engineering org, work collaboratively with IT PMO to ensure transparency & timely delivery of project deliverables, & maintain an up to date technology roadmap for future technology needs. 

The Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in facilitating collaboration between a variety of stakeholders & delivering high quality solutions to complex problems. Successful candidates will be highly driven, extremely organized, strong communicators & have a passion for technology while also coming to the table with a strong foundation in Business Analyst best practices. Expect to seamlessly support multiple concurrent projects, stay up to date with current technologies (with an emphasis on Microsoft M365 suite, including Power Platform & Azure automation), & possess outstanding documentation skills.

What you'll do:

  • Actively indoctrinate yourself in IT functions & processes
  • Gather requirements for internal IT & cross-functional technical projects
  • Analyze complex business problems & assess how new or existing technologies can be implemented to solve them, with an eye for risk, scale, & quality.
  • Establish & monitor feedback loops from internal business stakeholders in order to enhance processes & project deliverables
  • Work collaboratively with IT Engineers & other stakeholders to create & maintain technical design documentation
  • Develop communication plans as required by change management
  • Implement & maintain a technology roadmap for your area of responsibility

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors HCM or similar (Onboarding/Employee Central/Compensation/Variable Pay/Performance)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thorough understanding of Requirements Management
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with Kanban
  • Knowledge of Microsoft M365 Power Platform

Experience:

  • 5-10 years working in IT/Business Systems as a Consultant or Analyst
  • Previous experience in IT/Business Systems Engineering or Administration 
  • Creation & maintenance of a technology roadmap
  • Experience with business & technology diagramming with varying levels of abstraction
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows & requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of Web Services & integrations
  • Exposure to current Risk Management methodologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of Change Management

Other:

  • IIBA/PMI Business Analyst certification 
  • Expert level knowledge of Okta, G Suite, Active Directory, m365
  • Expert level knowledge of Visio or similar diagramming tools
  • Experience with SuccessFactors OData structure a major plus
  • Experience with middleware integrations platforms (Boomi, etc)
  • Knowledge of Apache Camel Integration Framework
  • Comfort with bash/PowerShell scripting
  • Comfort with Python and/or javaScript
  • Comfort with REST/SOAP API
  • Enterprise Architecture (web services)
